Jiankai Sun is a research scientist at Bytedance Inc. Seattle, working on privacy-preserving techniques such as federated learning. He got his Ph.D. from the Department of Computer Science at the Ohio State University, advised by Prof. Srinivasan Parthasarathy.

His research mainly focuses on privacy-preserving techniques such as federated learning and some other machine learning related areas such as graph embedding, recommender systems, and question routing in online CQAs. 

His group is hiring both new grad and experienced research scientist and interns with background of privacy-preserving machine learning and multi-modality (large pretrained models for NLP, CV etc). If you are interested in his group, please check this link for more details.
